What is MSA therapy?

It is a computerized program that can detect which organs or tissues in your body are out of balance. It is a highly advanced galvanic skin response testing device used for meridian stress assessment. Meridians are a system of energetic pathways which pass through tissues and organs.

According to Chinese medicine, these meridians are a system of pathways that carry the life energy or “chi”. This energy can be measured electrically at points along the meridians which are much more electrically conductive than the surrounding tissue.

The meridian system is like a blueprint that the body builds itself on. All of the biochemical processes of the body are run by the energy system, and if the blueprint is incorrect, the processes do not flow properly. This affects the cells which in turn affects the tissues and results in symptoms. In effect, all symptoms begin in the energetic system.

Electrical energy flows through each meridian to associated organs and tissue systems, adjusting and harmonizing their corresponding activities. Each meridian refers to a particular organ or tissue system, and the amount the energy flowing through that meridian is an indication of the balance or imbalance of that organ or tissue system. By testing 10 points on each hand and foot, we assess 20 major organs and tissue systems.

Using the Meridian Stress Assessment (MSA), one can test the various meridians of the body, using a non-ionizing, non-thermal, frequency-specific signal to determine which systems of the body are stressed, balanced or weakened.

We put a 1 volt electrical current into your body at designated acupuncture points. When this current goes into the energy field of the organ or tissue associated with the meridian of a acupuncture point, a reading is received on the computer. If the energy field of the point being tested is stressed, the reading will come out high. This happens because when your organ or tissue is stressed, the energy field is already charged with too much electricity. When the organ or tissue is weak, there is a low reading because the energy field uses up most of the 1 volt current and just lets out a little amount of the current.

Testing the meridians using the MSA involves touching different meridian points on the hands and feet. MSA testing is a non-invasive way to obtain measurements because there are no needles that pierce the skin.

The MSA does provide valuable information, but does not diagnose disease.
